Forging the Future of Aquatic Park

The Aquatic Park and Pier Project

We are a community-led initiative focused on realizing the full potential of this historic waterfront park and its surroundings, and to rebuild its protective, iconic pier so that future generations of San Franciscans and visitors can enjoy this special place.

Now is the time to engage and reimagine what these historic places could be for all people. Let's act before we start to lose history. There has never been a better time.”

— Dave Brouillette, former Park Superintendent

Check out the Vision Study: A Community Vision for Aquatic Park

The Vision imagines and visualizes possibilities for physical and programmatic improvements to the park and its environs with the goal of inspiring actionable change.

Based on a robust public engagement process that spanned seven months and encompassed outreach to thousands of San Franciscans, it shows what the park *could be.*

While the Vision’s purpose is to generate creative ideas and approaches, final decisions about park improvements are the purview of local and/or federal agencies and the availability of funding.

What can the future hold for this historic place? Our vision study is seeking your ideas and feedback for improvements to the park and its surroundings.
